Puppies, Puppies, Puppies!

Pictured on this page are puppies that represent the quality of Saints and Borders that we breed. None of the dogs pictured on this page are for sale. We take our breeding program very seriously and may only have one or two litters a year. If you are interested in a puppy please send us an email with your name, address, and phone number, and what you are looking for. We will contact you and let you know if/when we have puppies available, or put you in contact with other breeders that may have litters on the ground or on the way.

Please note that we screen puppy buyers very carefully. Do not be offended by the many questions we will ask you about your knowledge of the breed, your ability to raise, train and care for a dog, and the home you will provide for your puppy. We believe that adding a puppy to your family requires a significant commitment by you and all the members of your family. For the sake of your puppy, and you, we must be satisfied that your puppy will be happy in his new home.

If you purchase a puppy from us you can expect your Saint or Border puppy to be at least 9 weeks old before it leaves us to ensure at least 2 vaccinations in the series and several de-worming treatments have been given and that proper litter and socialization has taken place.

With your puppy, you will receive baby pictures, photos of the sire and dam, a formal pedigree, health/shot records and the AKC registration paper. Puppies sold as strictly pet quality will be put on a spay/neuter contract and Limited Registration. Limited Registration means that the dog is registered but future litters that may be produced by that dog are NOT eligible for registration. With the popularity of Saints due to the Beethoven craze, this is one method of protecting our breed from overpopulation and indiscriminant breeding. With Borders, we are very protective to make sure that our animals do not end up in puppy-mill situations.

You will be asked to sign an agreement indicating the replacement policy that comes with the puppy (show and companion differ), how you will treat the dog, and that you agree to alter your companion puppy around six months of age. If for any reason, the dog cannot remain with you later in its life, the dog is to be returned to us.
